Edmonton Pro Life

We remind society about the intrinsic value of each person. Through education we inspire people to build a culture of life in the world around them

Edmonton Prolife

40 Days for Life - This pro-life prayer campaign to end abortion is held twice a year (Spring and Fall). It is 40 Days of prayer, peaceful vigil (praying outside the abortion clinic), and community outreach. This is a great volunteer opportunity for individuals as well as churches. To find out more about how to sign up to pray as well as a church day of prayer, visit ww.40daysforlife.com/edmonton or contact Edmonton Prolife.

Educational booths - We have been present at many different conferences in the past. The booths contain pamphlets, books, fetal models etc.

Join us as we work to end abortion and euthanasia/assisted suicide and ensure that each human being’s life is respected, valued, and protected.

About Us – Edmonton Prolife is a charitable organization that promotes respect for all human life, from conception to natural death. We do this, through education, in a variety of ways.

Literature - Books and DVDs are available for loan. We have a wide variety of pro-life brochures that are free of charge. We can send you brochures that you can distribute.

Law Courts Demonstration - Edmonton Prolife undertakes an awareness event outside the Law Courts building in Edmonton every January on the anniversary of the Morgentaler decision (this was when the Supreme Court overthrew the abortion law, leaving Canada without a law governing abortion).

Life Chain - This is an annual day of public witness for children killed by abortion. It is held across Canada, including Edmonton, on the first Sunday in October.

Educational kits - These are available for teachers to borrow (public, private, or homeschool). The kits include fetal models, pamphlets, DVDs, posters etc. that help students learn the facts about fetal development and the value of human life.

Presentations - We are available to give presentations to groups, whether in schools, churches, or homes. Topics covered include fetal development, abortion, euthanasia/assisted suicide, STIs and ethics.

Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram - Follow us on social media where we share pro-life updates.

Ads – We have had ads in buses, LRT stations, on billboards, as well as on Facebook and Instagram

Edmonton Prolife Newsletter - Our newsletter is distributed regularly. It contains information on EPL’s activities, as well as information on how people can get involved in pro-life.

Edmonton Prolife Scholarship – We seek to encourage and reward students who are actively engaged in promoting the sanctity of life. To be eligible for the Edmonton Prolife $500.00 scholarship, applicants must be: enrolled in a program leading to a certificate, diploma, or degree at any secular or religious Edmonton post-secondary school; a Canadian citizen; an Alberta resident for at least 12 consecutive months prior to application; able to demonstrate pro-life commitment. High School students can also apply. Any high school student, no matter what grade or educational prospects, who can demonstrate pro-life commitment can apply for the EPL Scholarship.

Volunteer opportunities - Volunteers are invaluable to us. Contact us to find out how you can get involved in this vital work.
